Artist Name: Ella Salter and the Sunday Sinners
Hometown: Mobile, AL
What project(s) are you currently working on?
We are currently gearing up for the release of our new EP, set to drop on November 22nd, and planning the accompanying tour across the Southeast and Midwest.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?
Growing up in the South, I was surrounded by the power of storytelling through music. I knew I wanted to pursue music when I realized it was the best way to share my experiences and connect with others on a deeper level. I never really had the nerve to pursue it though until my little sister told me to stop messing around and make it happen. When she passed at 25 years old from cancer, I knew that I had to start living for the both of us and I’ve been working on this dream ever since.
If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?
If I weren’t in music, I’d probably be working in marketing and graphic design, using my creativity to help small businesses grow their brands.
What is your favorite downtime activity?
I love spending time with my three dogs, binging tv shows, cooking up new recipes, especially southern comfort food, and spending time outdoors camping in my vintage camper.
Who is your biggest celebrity crush?
Jason Isbell—his songwriting and authenticity are just so captivating.
Who is your favorite sports team(s)?
I’m a big fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Roll Tide!

“Practical Magic”—it never gets old!
What is the last album you listened to?
“Postcards from Texas” by Miranda Lambert.
If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Southeastern by Jason Isbell. I don’t think an album could be more perfect
What is the greatest country song of all time?
Impossible question! But “Down From Dover” by Dolly Parton is incredible and terribly underrated
What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?
Probably Tupelo, MS—it has such a rich musical history and an incredible vibe.
What is your favorite meal?
Fried chicken with collard greens and cornbread—southern comfort at its best.
Who is your dream duet partner?
Dolly Parton. She’s my ultimate hero in music and life.
Who would you like to go on tour with?
Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real—they bring a modern twist to southern rock, and I think we’d complement each other well on the road.
What is your ultimate career goal(s)?
To play the Ryman, the Grand Ole Opry, Red Rocks and share our music on a national level while staying true to our southern roots and storytelling.
