Artist Name: Angela Autumn
Hometown: Nashville, TN
What project(s) are you currently working on?
I am currently writing for my next record, and always writing, I suppose! There’s also talk of a duet album with folksinger Austin Stambaugh, as well.
What inspired you to pursue a career in music and when did you know?
I knew that I would pursue a career in music shortly after I began writing songs. I released my first EP when I was 18 years old, a collection of country songs. I felt like I began finding my voice around that time.
If you weren’t pursuing a career in music, what would you be doing for a living?
Working on an organic farm in India. Probably harvesting ginseng or something.
What is your favorite downtime activity?
My favorite downtime activity is spending time in nature, learning from and talking to plants.
Who is your biggest celebrity crush?
Adam Driver.
Who is your favorite sports team(s)?
The Pittsburgh Steelers.
What is the last movie that you watched?
“Without Getting Killed or Caught,” the Guy Clark Documentary.
What is the last album you listened to?
“UFOF” by Big Thief.
If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?
“Yesterday’s Wine” by Willie Nelson.
What is the greatest country song of all time?
“Family Tradition” by Hank Williams Jr.
What has been your favorite city/town that you’ve visited out on the road?
Either Sandusky, Ohio or Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Sandusky was the most beautiful drive along Lake Erie. Steamboat is a town I really enjoyed because of the local fare. We ate an elk that had been straight up killed that day.
What is your favorite meal?
My favorite meal is wild mushroom ratatouille. Usually, we would use foraged mushrooms, onions, and peppers in an oil, and let it marinate for a day or two. Cooking is a huge part of my life!
Who is your dream duet partner?
Definitely Billy Strings!
Who would you like to go on tour with?
Sierra Ferrell or Billy Strings. They are both super fun, skilled performers.
What is your ultimate career goal(s)?
My goal is to record all of the songs I’ve written, and to collaborate with others in the bluegrass and country worlds.
