1. Where were you when you first heard yourself on the radio, and what was your reaction?  I was in the car with my parents. It was a very surreal moment because when I was 3, I told my parents they would hear me on the radio someday, so when that day hit, it was unbelievable. That was the point that I realized that this was a very possible career for me.

2. What is the #1 item on your Bucket List?  I love to travel, so I think to travel the world would be on the top of my list. That, or perform with George Strait. ;]

3. What is something that you are extremely passionate about?  Obviously my music, but I’m also a spokesperson for Angels and Doves, which is a national non-profit anti-bullying organization. It’s an organization that I really care about because they’re trying to make a difference and take a stand against bullying. I’m definitely very humbled to be a part of the group.

4. If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?  That would be a VERY hard one. I don’t know if I could pick just one single artist. Maybe I could get away with making a mash-up CD of my favorite songs. :] Could that work? . . . please. Haha :]

5. If music wasn’t your career, what would you be doing for a living?  I probably would do graphic design. That’s what I plan on going to college for.

6. What would your final meal be if you knew it was your last one?  I love food, so that’s another hard one. Probably something with shrimp and definitely lots of desserts, preferably chocolate.

7. What is your favorite sports team(s)?  I’m not a big sports person. The only sport that I’ve ever really played was rodeo, but some people don’t consider that a sport. As far as a team, I enjoy watching hockey but I don’t necessarily have a favorite team. If I had to choose, probably the Topeka, Kansas Road Runners or the Mavericks.

8. What’s been your favorite city/town to visit?  NASHVILLE!!! I absolutely LOOOVE Nashville. The atmosphere and people there are amazing. I hopefully will be able to live there someday.

9. What are your thoughts on the state of today’s country music?  The music today isn’t bad, but I like how it used to be better. My favorite period of country music was when Patsy Cline and George Jones were constantly heard on the radio or when George Strait and Martina McBride (80’s-90’s) we’re the most common.

10. What’s the best advice you could give to an aspiring artist?  To never give up. You’re going to hit bumps along the way, but you have to get over them and not let anyone tell you that you can’t do it. There’s always going to be negativity from people, but you can’t let that tear you down. It’s a lot of hard work, but it will pay off in the end. Continue pushing forward, and as long as you’re dedicated, passionate, and determined, you will make it.
