UNC STUDENTS GET A STAR-STUDDED SALUTE ON LABOR DAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND IN CHAPEL HILL, NORTH CAROLINA
THE JOHN RICH HOSTED CONCERT WILL BE LIVED STREAMED FOR ALL TO ENJOY AND CELEBRATE PATRIOTISM IN AMERICA
John Rich, award-winning – multi-platinum hitmaker and one-half of the duo Big & Rich, is set to host Flagstock 2024, along with Pints for Patriots on September 2, 2024 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Superstar acts Big & Rich, Aaron Lewis (Staind), Five For Fighting, and the incomparable icon Lee Greenwood are set to perform during the 2-hour concert for the students. More information on the live stream is forthcoming. The after-party following the concert will feature Twinsick, but will not be livestreamed.
John Rich says, “Well, we made a promise to the boys in North Carolina to give them a free concert, and now we’re ready to throw down on Labor Day to salute these patriots of UNC! These guys have become a symbol of hope for a generation and have so much potential to lead. We plan to kick the school year off right in Chapel Hill, so be prepared to have a rockin’ good time as we celebrate our freedom! All involved are so proud to bring some rowdy country music with a shot of rock and roll, and one of the greatest Patriotic songs of all time, ‘God Bless the USA’ by Mr. Lee Greenwood for an epic party.”
“Pints for Patriots is thrilled that several powerhouse acts will donate their time and talent to throwing these wonderful students an exclusive, private concert,” says John Noonan, the organizer of the GoFundMe campaign. “We want to extend special thanks to John Rich for his energy and leadership in making it possible. Our gratitude remains with our donors, who wanted nothing more than to say ‘thank you’ to these fine young men who acted with moral clarity and courage. We can’t wait to show the select guests from Chapel Hill a special night full of fun, good times, and great music.”
Pints for Patriots was formed as a result of a viral online fundraiser honoring fraternity brothers who protected a U.S. flag from pro-Palestinian protesters. Within days, the fund topped over $515,000.00 and is now being used to throw a concert and party for the students as well as donations to various charities chosen by the fraternities, including Back the Blue NC, Wounded Warrior Project, Children of Fallen Patriots, and Zeta Beta Tau Foundation to combat anti-semitism. Honoring donor intent continues to be Pints for Patriot’s guiding principle.
