Earlier today a press release was sent out announcing a benefit concert in Colorado for flood victims, and the lineup included Billy Dean, Andy Griggs, Jamie O‘Neal, and the recently reunited Trick Pony! This was the first I had heard of the band getting back together, and after some research, it hadn’t been put out there yet by any media or PR sites before this that I can tell. After some further digging, it appears this came together last month and was hinted at with the follow tweets by Heidi Newfield:
- September 3rd: If you wanta come see and hear an EXTRA SPECIAL writers night…come to The Listening Room this Fri night at 7:30.

How this all got past the media is beyond me, but I am thrilled to hear about and report this news. They were a great group back then, and I look forward to seeing what they have in store for us going forward!
