Heartland, best known for its No. 1 Billboard charting and platinum-selling smash country hit, “I Loved Her First,” announced today its return to the music scene. The ACM-nominated band, comprised of original members Craig Anderson, Todd Anderson, and Mike Myerson, is currently in-studio working on all-new music. Heartland‘s lineup will feature a new lead vocalist, Lance Horton.
“Todd, Mike, and myself are so excited to relaunch the project we’ve been a part of our entire adult lives and are super stoked to have Lance, who we’ve worked with for a number of years now, joining us for this next chapter,” says Craig Anderson. “We have a great team working with us and are very much looking forward to showing everyone what’s coming up soon.”
Heartland‘s new album, set for release later this year, will be available via Yellowhammer Music Group. Jimmy Ritchie (Jake Owen, Clay Walker, Mark Chesnutt) will helm the project as producer. The forthcoming compilation will mark Heartland‘s first new music release in over a decade.
“It’s been an awesome ride from the time Todd and I started this and we can’t wait to get back out there and see our friends all over the country again,” adds Anderson.
More details on Heartland‘s new project will be announced soon.
