We have not heard any new music from Travis Tritt in over 6 years! It has been a long wait but we can finally say he has released a new album, out now! This will be the first Album on his own label Post Oak Recordings.

There is a reason why it has taken six years for us to hear anything new from Tritt. Here’s what happened: The Independent label Category 5 records signed Tritt in 2007. Travis went to work on his new album with American Idol judge  Randy Jackson. It was originally released with the title “The Storm.” Unfortunately Category 5 records went out of business shortly after the album hit the market.  After a lengthy battle in court with the record label over the rights to the masters for these songs, which Tritt considers some of his best, he has put out an updated version with the title “The Calm After.”

This album really demonstrates so many of Tritts’ best traits; namely his ballads and bluesy, soul filled voice. He has really poured his emotions into it. It features several covers, one of which is Patty Smyth and Don Henley’s 1992 pop hit.”Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough.” Tritts’ rendition features his 15 year old daughter Tyler Reese.  This song is just amazing! The way these two belt out this song gave me goose bumps. It’s not everyday a song touches you like this one.  Vocals are truly phenomenal.

There is no doubt fans will truly be happy with this project!
