The final day of the 2013 CMA Fest was a whirlwind. I rushed to Fan Fair X to see Billy Dean perform at noon on the Durango Stage before heading down to the media room to interview hot newcomer Maggie Rose. Check out my interview with her here!
I then went back up to the Fan Fair X for a final flurry of Meet & Greets including Laura Bell Bundy, Bobby Braddock (wrote several big hits including “He Stopped Loving Her Today” and “D-I-V-O-R-C-E”), Sweetwater Rain, Lucy Angel, Leah Seawright, James Wesley, and Cassadee Pope! I had a nice chat with Bobby Braddock, and hope to have an interview with him soon.

I wrapped the weekend up by checking out Lauren Elise, who is a Featured Artist on our SFCM website, and who was playing at the Gretchen Wilson Fan Club Party! She did a great job performing with C.J. Conklin as Gretchen Wilson and her entourage watched. While I went out friends most nights during this trip, I called it an early night this night since I had to pack up and get ready to hit the road the next morning.
Overall it was a great trip full of fun times and great memories made, despite not going to too many concerts. I can see those back home all the time…the real gem of CMA Fest is the interaction fans get with their favorite stars and spending time with their friends.
